Jacquelyn Wilson, M.D.


Dr. Wilson has been in private family practice for twenty-five years and now consults for pharmaceutical companies with an interest in homeopathic medicine. Past president of the American Institute of Homeopathy, she is an internationally known authority in homeopathy and has been an instructor at University of California San Diego School of Medicine.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Wilson has lead courses in Illness and the Family to medical students, lectured on homeopathy to naturopathic and acupuncture students and has taught women's health in university extension courses. She has written curriculum in self-care using homeopathic medicines and has frequently taught self-care seminars using a variety of natural therapies (such as homeopathic medicines, herbs, nutrition and massage) to students and lay people.

A Diplomate of American Board of Homeotherapeutics, Dr. Wilson is a member of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States. She serves on the advisory board of Let's Live Magazine and the Bastyr University, the only accredited American University whose mission is based in natural therapies. One of her specialties is women's health care, and the chronic stress caused by abusive relationships. In her private practice, her approach has included preventative, holistic, homeopathic and nutritional therapy.

Her articles have been published in magazines ranging from United Airlines Flight Magazine to Holistic Life. She has also been published in a number of leading professional publications on homeopathy, one of which, the authoritative The Homeopathic Pharmocopeia of the United States, is now in its eighth edition. During the past fifteen years, she has frequently participated in television and radio talk shows on holistic and women's health. She was also a contributor to the highly acclaimed book Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide.

Jacquelyn Wilson believes that by taking responsibility for our state of health and the process of healing, we can come to understand the attitudes, beliefs and values that may have contributed to illness. She teaches people to create and maintain health by fostering self-responsibility and an understanding of the healing powers of the body. She also emphasizes the value of the patient/ practitioner relationship.
